Fry Elementary School Weekly Announcements 10/9/18

Picture Retakes
Picture retakes are this Thursday morning. If you would like your child to have a retake, please send your child’s original picture package back to school. Students who were absent on picture day will automatically have their picture taken on Thursday.

aimswebPlus Assessment Information
In September students participated in aimswebPlus benchmarking assessments. Student results will be posted in the Home Access Center this Friday. Please read the attached district communication to better understand aimswebPlus testing and percentile scoring.

Vision & Hearing Screeings
We have begun mandated vision and hearing screenings through the Fry Health Office. All students in K through 3rd grade and selected students in grades 4 and 5 will be screened for vision and/or hearing. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they have them at school.
Vision screening is not a substitute for a complete eye and vision evaluation by an eye doctor. Your child is not required to undergo this vision screening if an optometrist or ophthalmologist has completed and signed a report form indicating that an examination has been administered within the previous 12 months, and that evaluation is on file at the school. If an examination report is not on file at the school for your child, your child in the mandated age/grade/group will be screened.
If you have any questions about the screenings, please contact Mrs. Barta in the Fry Health Office.
