PTA Announcements 2-25-19
PTA Announcements for 2/25/2019
Science Fair Monday 25th 6.30-8pm
It’s so exciting, we are wrapping up projects, preparing boards and we cannot wait to see what your students have been working on and all the amazing work they have produced. We are super proud of all those children who have undertaken to do an experiment or project.
Don’t forget there will be a food truck so you can also get your dinner on the night too! The package includes two sliders, chips and a drink for $10 (CASH PLEASE) . There will be 4 slider options: cheeseburger, BBQ chicken, hummus and caprese (and you can mix and match).
We are very low on volunteers this year and this event really does need parent volunteers to make it work. Please if you can give any time on Monday reach out to myself or Renata (firstname.lastname@example.org) or add your name to the sign up genius. We are so incredibly thankful and grateful to those of you who have signed up or reached out, we couldn’t do it without you, so thanks a million.
Set up time in the gym starts at 5.45pm and in the cafeteria at 6.10pm. Judges meet at the meeting room to the right when you come in through the YMCA/gym door at 6.10pm. The Science Fair, booths and judging start at 6.30pm.
Looking forward to another great science fair, bring the whole family as we will have 14 interactive booths and lots of fun activities for the children. See you there.
DATE CHANGE-Adult Only Night Out-3/9
Since so many were unable to attend due to the long weekend, we have changed the date to 3/9. Please help support our kids and enjoy some great food music and company! Can’t get a sitter? Make it a girls or guys night out! This is not a couples only event.
Cost is $35/pp and includes food and soft drinks. You can purchase tickets via Paypal by using email@example.com or by check. We hope to see you there!! Contact Asha, Krisha or Becky via the firstname.lastname@example.org address with any questions.
What an amazing show of support by the students for their peers throughout the district. There were 117 boxes/packages collected totaling 1,487 individual snacks. The coordinator put the word out to the elementary schools and immediately had numerous requests for snacks. They were able to meet EVERY request that came in and sent snacks to thirteen schools across the district and also provided a supply to the homeless liaison. This is an incredible amount of support for our students and schools and we can't thank you enough.
