Back to School Information for Fry Families

Hello Fry Families!

We hope you are having a fantastic summer!

If you received this by email, your student is registered for the 2019-20 school year! If you have any outstanding registration documents to submit, please provide those to the Fry office as soon as possible. As a reminder, kindergarten students need the Illinois Health Examination form submitted prior to the start of school. We are open daily Monday through Thursday.

A special welcome to all of our new families! Everyone will begin receiving regular weekly emails on Monday, August 5th. Until then, a few important dates to mark on your calendar:

New Family Orientation
Friday, August 9th, 10:00-11:00
(In the Fry Multi-Purpose Room – please enter door #2 closest to the parking lot)
This event is geared toward families in grades 1-5 transferring to Fry. New kindergarten families are welcome, but should not feel obligated to attend, as you will have a classroom orientation on 8/19 (see below).

Classroom Information Available for Viewing in Home Access (fully enrolled students only)
Monday, August 12th after 4:00 PM. The system will experience an overload. Please be patient or log on later in the evening!

Meet & Greet/Supply Drop-off
Wednesday, August 14th, 2:00-3:00
Students and parents may bring supplies to the classroom and say hello to their teacher. If you ordered school supply kits from the PTA, you will pick them up in the gym.
PTA Ice Cream Social 2:30-3:30 on the blacktop behind the school

First Day of School (Grades 1-5)
Monday, August 19th Full Day of Attendance 9:05-3:35

Kindergarten Visitation Day
Monday, August 19th
Parent and students come to school together (mid-morning) for an orientation session - exact schedule to follow via email
(First Full Day of School for Kindergarten students is Tuesday, Aug. 20th)
