Weekly Announcements 9-3-19
Fry Elementary School Weekly Announcements 9/3/19
We hope you are enjoying a relaxing long weekend!
Staff are at work today for a Building Institute Day. Teachers are previewing a new resource to support the area of Social Emotional Learning (SEL). We are also learning ways to improve how we guide readers while increasing the volume of material our students actually read. Finally, we are exploring activities to help students build math fluency, beyond traditional timed tests. Learning never ends, even for teachers, at Fry!
A safe, efficient school arrival depends on parents/guardians following procedures. This also helps staff focus supervision efforts on students, not adults. Please note the following:
• We use the entire parking lot loop to drop off in the morning between 8:50-9:05 (9:00-9:15 on Wednesday). Cars should not stop at the gym doors when dropping off students, but rather pull as far forward as possible before unloading, no matter where in the circle this might be.
• The front circle drive is reserved for busses, daycare vans, and cars with special use passes.
• Cars should join the car line from the south. In good weather, this may be near Sunburst Ln., in bad weather it will be further back near Brooksedge Ave.
