Book Fair
Thank you so much for your support of Fry’s Scholastic Book Fair! We are thrilled so many children and parents wanted to buy books to have in your homes. The students got so excited about their books and reading! All proceeds from the fair go straight back to our school. So thank you very much for your support! And, thank you very much to the many volunteers who came to help us with the book fair. We couldn’t do this without your help!

Don't forget that the Online Book Fair is still going on through this Tuesday, November 12th only. This is a great time to shop for upcoming holidays and it continues to benefit Fry School. There may also be some pre-holiday sales there! Ordering is easy! There is no shipping to pay! Just visit our Book Fair homepage and look for the online fair link there!

The books ordered from the online fair will arrive at Fry School all ready for you to pick up or for me to send home with your child. If you want your order to be a gift, please call or send me an email letting me know you made an online order, and I will give you a call when they come in so you can pick it up. Allow about 5 business days for the books to arrive. It's easy, you can do it from the comfort of your own home, and it benefits your child AND Fry School!
Again, thank you for your continued support!

Thanksgiving Collection
The Fry Staff is once again organizing our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit local families. We will collect food next week, Nov. 18th-22nd. Please see the attached flyer for more info on what you might add to your shopping list. This is a great opportunity to involve kids and teach about gratitude and helping others. Thanks for your support of this wonderful annual tradition!

We need your feedback!
Parents across Illinois once again have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of your child’s school as it relates to the important elements of school effectiveness.
On behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago. All survey responses will be kept confidential. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20 percent of parents take the survey. If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school.
To take this short survey:
1. Visit
2. Type and select “Dupage” as "County." (The county is the location of the school district's main office.)
3. Type your school's name into the "School" field and select your school.
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey identifies five indicators that can lead to important student outcomes, including test score gains. Research has shown that schools strong on these indicators are ten times more likely to improve student learning. The five indicators that effect school success are effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environments, and ambitious instruction.
Thank you for your feedback.
