Winter Book Fair is Coming 2/9-13/15

Mark your calendars now, so you won’t miss our Winter Book Fair at Fry Elementary School's Library Media Center! Book fairs give students the chance to build their home library collections and share the excitement and importance of reading with their parents.
We invite you to come and allow your child to make their choices in person to see the wide selection available. However, if you would also like to send money with your child, they will be allowed time to come and make their purchases during school hours, and we have parent volunteers that can assist them in shopping. Please include 7.25% tax with any cash you send with your child, or make checks payable to Fry Elementary School. We will accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If you decide to visit the book fair during school hours, remember to enter the building through the front doors and sign in at the office with your driver's license.
Our Winter Book fair hours are as follows:
Monday, February 9 8:45 am – 4:15 pm
Tuesday, February 10 8:45 am – 4:15 pm
Wednesday, February 11 9:00 am– 4:15 pm & 6:30-8:00 pm
during Open House
Thursday, February 12 8:45 am – 4:15 pm
Friday, February 13 8:45 am – 12:00 pm
We will send home a flyer that previews some of the books offered at the Book Fair. If you are unable to attend the book fair with your child, you can place an order online at the following website. The following link may be used to purchase books or it can then be shared with relatives that may wish to make a purchase as a special surprise for your child. All books purchased online will be shipped (free shipping) to our school and then sent home with your child. Fry School receives a percentage of the proceeds from your purchases, whether in person or online, that we use it to purchase new materials for the Library Media Center. Also, if a book sells out at the book fair, you can use this link to purchase the book. This online book fair is open all year long, so even after our book fair at school, you can continue to purchase books online through these steps.
1. Log onto www.ABCfairs.com
2. Enter a title you are looking for or click on Shop our Categories
3. Once everything is in your shopping cart click on Find My School (top of page)
4. Find your school – listed in alphabetical order.
5. Copy your schools name and click on view my shopping cart.
6. Paste your school name into the COUPON CODE box and click
Apply to order. In the middle of the screen there will be a note…
”Your school will receive 20% of your purchase”.
7. Click on checkout and proceed to set up a user id/password
Wait there’s more, at the Book Fair; you can also help your child’s classroom increase the books in their classroom library with the Classroom Wish List program. Simply select one or more books from those that the teachers have listed at the Book Fair. The titles are hand-picked by each teacher as desired library selections for their classrooms. After we process your purchase, you can personalize your donation with the bookplate provided, and your child(ren) may deliver it to their classroom on the next school day. The students will enjoy fresh new books in their classroom for reading because of your generosity.
