Art & School Supply Collection
Fry PTA in conjunction with Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Mongelli and Freddy’s Volunteer Team, are having a used art and school supply collection to benefit area schools, the SCARCE organization, and a Native American tribe in South Dakota that is in need. The supplies can be sent in with students (or donated from the classroom) and placed in the bins outside the art room. Items from home can also be dropped in the bin outside of the front office.
The collection will run from Wednesday, May 30th until Friday June 1st.
The requested items are:
-Regular pencils (not decorated or mechanical)
-paper of all types
We are NOT collecting: highlighters, white board markers, school boxes, sharpies, rulers, or felt tip pens.
Please turn in any and all outstanding expenses by 5/31. We will make one final check in the afternoon so that Mini can cut checks on Friday, 6/1. If you need a copy of the form, it can be found on the PTA Facebook page.
This year, a portion of the funds for classroom enrichment were set aside so that teachers could write grant proposals for classroom equipment beyond the typical supplies. There were requests for alternative seating, STEAM equipment, & on-line learning tools to name a few. We are excited to say that the PTA was able to fulfill every request in full except for one. Mr. L had a very large request that we voted to partially fund this year and hope to grant the balance after the Foxtacle Fundraiser in the fall.
