Residency Verification Process
The district is again contracting with a third-party vendor to automatically verify student address information. As was the case last year, we anticipate the overwhelming majority of our families will be electronically verified.
If your residency is electronically verified, you will receive a letter of confirmation via US Mail and there will be no need to submit any additional paperwork to certify that you live within the district’s boundaries.
A letter will also be sent to families whose residency we are unable to verify electronically. The letter will provide details on additional information you will need to provide by May 3, 2021 in order to register your child for the upcoming school year.
Verifying residency is an effort to protect taxpayers and district resources by identifying non-residents attending District 204 schools. Illinois law mandates that parents demonstrate residency prior to enrollment in school and allows for periodic verification to validate compliance with the law.
Upcoming Schedule Changes
Tuesday, April 13th will begin the new daily schedule of in-person learning from 9:00-3:00. Teachers will share new schedules in advance. All families who have signed up for in-person learning (continuing or new) should have received information via email last week.
IAR testing continues today for grades 3-5 from 9:00-11:30.
Parents need to complete the self-certification form in ParentVue by 8:30 when their child is coming in for testing. Please note the 11:30 end time for testing today.
The final IAR testing date will be Monday, April 19th.
Please read the important information below regarding school pictures and yearbooks!
Fry Picture Day is Friday, April 16th
All In-person Learners will bring home ordering information/payment envelopes this week. While purchasing a photo package is optional, photos will be used for the yearbook, so all students will have their picture taken on Friday.
Remote students may choose to be photographed at school. If you are bringing your child to school for pictures, please park in the parking lot loop drive near the gym. Please wait at door #4 and a staff member will assist you. You can order a picture package in advance by paying online at HRimaging.com (details attached to this email) or you can fill out an order form/pay by check that day. Parents will wait outside while their child is in the gym and staff will assist students back to their car. Photos will be taken between 9:15-2:00 only. If possible, the best time to come to school is 1:00-2:00, as this time is set aside for remote learners.
There will not be picture re-takes or a make-up date this year.
If you are unable/would rather not have your child come to school for pictures on Friday, families will have the option to digitally submit a photo for the yearbook. Detailed directions will follow soon.
Yearbooks can be ordered through the IPSD Webstore. Please see the attached directions. This is the only opportunity to purchase yearbooks this year. Yearbooks are $20. Yearbooks will be distibuted in June after school is out.
