Hello Fry Families!

We hope you are having a fantastic summer!

If you received this message by email, your student is registered for the 2026-27 school year!  A special welcome to all our new families! 

If you have any outstanding registration documents to submit, please provide those to the Fry office (or upload in ParentVue) as soon as possible.  As a reminder, kindergarten students need the Illinois Health Examination form submitted prior to the start of school. 

Below are some important dates to mark on your calendar.  More details will be shared later in the month.  Regular weekly school communications will begin August 3rd.

For your reference, the 2026-27 District 204 Calendar is also attached to this email.

 

New Family Orientation

Thursday, Aug. 6th  10:00 AM

We invite new families to join us in the lunchroom for a brief orientation session and tour.  Please enter door #2 following the sidewalk from the parking lot. If new families are unable to attend on this date, please note another opportunity to visit the school, Meet & Greet, is listed below.

 

Grade 1st – 5th Meet & Greet/Supply Drop-off

Wed., August 12th  2:30-3:30 PM

Grade 1 through 5 students and parents may bring supplies to the classroom and say hello to their teacher. Families who ordered school supply kits from the PTA will pick them up at this time. Please note, supply kits are no longer available for purchase as they were pre-order only. For those who need to shop, supply lists are attached to this email.  

If your family cannot attend Meet & Greet, that is ok!  Students can bring supplies on the first day of school.  

PTA Ice Cream Social will be held on the blacktop behind the school starting at 3:00.

 

Kindergarten Supply Drop-Off/Orientation – Parents AND Students

Wed., Aug. 12th  6:30-8:00 PM

Kindergarten families will be invited to this event via a separate detailed email invitation. Kindergarten families who pre-ordered PTA supply kits will be able to pick them up at this time. 

 

First Day of School – All Students K-5

Monday, August 17th   - Full Day of School 9:05-3:35

 

Curriculum Night - Parents of Students Grades 1-5

Monday, August 24th    6:30 This evening is for parents/guardians only. Children/students should not attend.

(Kindergarten parents will not attend a formal Curriculum Night in-person, but additional curricular information will be sent home.)
